Caselle Software

The City converted its financial data in 2005.  The data is maintained on a local area network using Caselle Software.  Caselle's software suite is a fully integrated, Windows-based financial and utility billing software specifically designed for municipalities.  Caselle is a modular based software with service and support provided by Civic Systems, LLC.  The City of Lake City uses the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Asset Management, Cash Receipting and Utility Billing modules.

Authorized useres and access levels

The Caselle security provides multi-level security options, controlling functions access by individual authorization.  The access levels allows each user or group of users to be granted access based on job duties and expanded or limited right down to the task granted access based on job duties and expanded or limited right down to the task and report levels.  Users and access levels are defined by job functions and are maintained by the System Administrator.

Spreadsheets and Word Processing

Various spreadsheets and word processing documents are maintained by users to aid in information gathering, analysis and reporting.  The City of Lake City uses the Microsoft suite of products.  Responsibility for accuracy, retention and updating documents resides with the creator.
