Notice Regarding Compost Site Use
Effective as of the 2025 season, the Lake City Compost Site will be open to City of Lake City residents only. Individuals residing outside of city limits will no longer be permitted to use the facility.
This decision was made following careful consideration of city policy and a variety of operational concerns. We understand this may impact some users, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure responsible and sustainable use of the site.
The City will continue to review this policy and will provide updates as needed for future seasons.
